The City of San Bernardino’s Community and Economic Development Department’s Housing Division is now open and accepting proposals for the 2023 – 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program year and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program year.
Applications are now available and due on or before Monday, Jan. 23 at 3 p.m.
Eligible activities for CDBG funding must meet one of the following national objectives: 1) principally benefit low-and moderate-income persons, 2) eliminate slums and blight, and 3) meet an urgent need.
The ESG program provides grant funding to (1) engage homeless individuals and families living on the street, (2) rapidly re-house homeless individuals and families, (3) help operate and provide essential services in emergency shelters for homeless individuals and families, and (4) prevent individuals and families from becoming homeless.
Applications may be picked up at the Community and Economic Development Office, located at 201 N E St., Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The application are also available online at www.sbcity.org/housing.
