We are both excited and sad to announce that Karen Serrano (Suarez) is stepping down from her role as the Vice President of Collective Impact at the Making Hope Happen Foundation. Karen’s leadership and passion have been instrumental in shaping Uplift San Bernardino into the dynamic initiative it is today.

Uplift San Bernardino has had a presence locally, regionally, statewide, and nationally, connecting with resources and people that help support our collective efforts. While we will miss her energy and dedication, we wholeheartedly wish her success in her next chapter of her career. We are delighted that she will still be serving in the region and know that you will continue to run into her in the community.

As Karen transitions, Uplift San Bernardino remains steadfast in its mission to build a generation of successful adults committed to growing roots in San Bernardino. The initiative will continue to thrive as Uplift San Bernardino’s Transition Team searches for a new leader and embarks on its own journey to form Uplift San Bernardino into an independent entity.

We encourage you to stay connected during this period of change to our incredible Program Coordinators, Noraly Sainz, Heather Zappia, and Xavina Walbert. Together, we will ensure that the momentum built continues to create meaningful impact.
