Communities in Charge provides funding for the installation of Level 2 EV charging stations in California.
While many site types are eligible, workplaces, multi-family housing, congregations, Tribes, schools, local governments, healthcare facilities, and nonprofits are particularly encouraged to apply.
Applicants can receive $6,500 per eligible connector, or up to 100% of eligible costs, for a Level 2 EV charging project. Additional incentive adders are available for:
- Multi-family housing project sites: Additional $2,000 per connector.
- Project sites serving Tribal communities: Additional $3,500 per connector.
