After a year-long search,  the San Bernardino Unified School District (SBCUSD) officially welcomed Superintendent Harry “Doc” Ervin who will be in charge of steering San Bernardino County’s largest school district into continued excellence.

Ervin will join SBCUSD from the Bakersfield City School District and is a lifelong educator who is committed to building collaborative relationships with all of the stakeholders that will result in improved outcomes for students.

Ervin began leading the District on Tuesday, June 1 and will continue to work with Interim Superintendent Harold Vollkommer until July 1 to ensure a smooth transition.
