Vacant2Vibrant Initiative Gathers Community to View Potential for Vacant Lots

Uplift San Bernardino, with support from the Center for Community Investment, hosted local residents in the first session of Vacant2Vibrant Initiative at the Garcia Center for the Arts on Tuesday, Aug. 17.

The initiative, composed of three modules, offers residents the opportunity to learn about the planning process and analysis of infill or vacant lots in the City of San Bernardino.

Classes are designed to engage residents in a fun and easy way to learn about the history of planning, planning tools, and the decision-making process. The goal of the Vacant2Vibrant initiative is to provide residents with a platform to shape the future of vacant lots in the community.

Interested persons are encouraged to join tomorrow Saturday, Aug. 21 for the first session for the weekend schedule for the sessions. The event will take place at 950 N. Valencia Ave. To register, please click HERE or call 909-615-6706.
